Nehru School of Management's MBA 2023-25 batch embarked on an enlightening Industrial Visit to the Central Silk Board, Ministry of Textiles, Government of India, and Silk Mark Organization of India in Palakkad. During the visit, students learned about the silk production process, from cocoon cultivation to fabric manufacturing. They also gained knowledge about the quality control measures, marketing strategies, and initiatives undertaken by the Central Silk Board to promote the Indian silk industry. This visit provided a unique opportunity for students to delve into the world of sericulture and silk production, gaining insights into the industry's operations, challenges, and best practices.
