The All Kerala Power and Energy Society Students Congress was organized under the aegis of the IEEE Power and Energy Society, a major project of the IEEE, at Nehru College of Engineering and Research Centre on September 27, 28, and 29. Around 130 students from various colleges participated in the event. Workshops, industrial visits, cultural programs, and several awareness classes were organized for them. The event was inaugurated by Adv.Dr. P. Krishnadas, Honorary Trade Commissioner of Mauritius-India and Chairman & Managing Trustee of Nehru Group. Dr. Shashi K. Kottayil, a fellow of the Energy and World Resources Institute, India, delivered a lecture on how to energize the future in a sustainable manner. The event was successfully completed under the leadership of IEEE Power and Energy Society Chairman Dr. Ajith Gopi, College Principal Dr. K.G. Vishwanathan, Student Branch Counselor Dr. Sobha Manakkal, Power and Energy Society Secretary Harikumar, the Student Leadership Team, student branch members, and office staff.
