Inauguration of Operation Thoofan and The Induction Ceremony 2026 , Nehru College of Engineering and Research Centre (NCERC), Pampady, was held at the Brahmagupta Auditorium, marking the beginning of a new academic journey for the first-year students.
The programme commenced with a welcome address by Prof. Dr. Anoop K. J., Principal, NCERC.
The programme was inaugurated by Shri. Nakul Rajendra Deshmukh, IPS, Commissioner of Police, Thrissur City. The Operation Thoofan Warrior badges were presented by Shri. Nakul Rajendra Deshmukh, IPS, Commissioner of Police, Thrissur City, to 72 students of Nehru Campus, Pampady, along with faculty members Lt. Col. Sanoj and Dr. Aswathy in recognition of their commitment to promoting a drug-free society.
Presidential address of Adv. Dr. P. Krishnadas, Chancellor of PK Das Deemed to be University, Honorary Trade Commissioner of Mauritius to India, and Chairman & Managing Trustee of NGI.
Fr. Davis Chiramel, Founder, Kidney Federation of India, Accident Care & Transport Service (ACTS), attended the function as the Guest of Honor and addressed the gathering, inspiring students to lead lives of compassion, responsibility, and social commitment.
Dr. P. Krishnakumar, Pro-Chancellor, P.K. Das Deemed to be University and CEO & Secretary, NGI delivered the keynote address, encouraging students to pursue academic excellence with integrity and social responsibility.
Felicitations were offered by Prof. Dr. H. N. Nagaraja, Executive Director - Academics and Administration, NGI, Prof. Dr. Sudheer S. Marar, Dean Academics & HoD, MCA, Dr. Krishnakumar T. P., Prof. & HoD MBA, Prof. Dr. Alex Mathew, Dean, NCPIRc and Ms. Smitha V. T., PTA Vice President, NCERC.
During the ceremony, the Awards of Excellence were presented, and the college newsletter ZENITH was officially released. The programme concluded with messages from senior and first-year students, a vote of thanks by Dr. Jalaja K., and the National Anthem.
