The Department of Electrical & Electronics Engineering at Nehru College of Engineering & Research Centre (NCERC), Pampady, organized GREENOVA 2026, a two-day Academia–Industry Conclave on “Futuring the Sustainable Energy Grid.” The programme was held on September 9 and 10, 2026, bringing together academicians, industry professionals, government representatives and students to discuss emerging trends and innovations in sustainable energy systems.
The conclave featured insightful discussions on the future of energy grids, energy transition, smart and sustainable technologies, and the evolving role of industry and academia in building a sustainable energy ecosystem. The programme was held under the patronage of Adv. Dr. P. Krishnadas, Chancellor, PK Das Deemed to be University, Tamil Nadu, Honorary Trade Commissioner of Mauritius–India and Chairman & Managing Trustee, Nehru Group of Institutions.
The panel included Prof. Dr. Sasi Kottayil (Retired Professor and Energy Transition Consultant), Mr. Dinesh Kumar A.N., (Joint Director, EMC, Government of Kerala), Dr. Manas Kumar (Associate Professor, IIT Palakkad), Mr. Harikrishnan (Regional Manager – Solar Projects, Hykon) and Mr. Manu M. Venu (District Engineer (Ernakulam), ANERT, Government of Kerala).
The event was also attended by Dr. Anoop K J, Principal, NCERC, along with the Heads of Departments, professors, faculty members and students of NCERC.
The conclave provided a valuable platform for knowledge exchange and collaboration between academia, industry and government, highlighting the need for innovative and sustainable solutions to meet the energy demands of the future.
